05:45 pm - Pictures from The Pogues' 2009 East Coast tour

I was lucky to be able to shoot four shows for The Pogues (Atlanta, DC, and twice in Boston) over the past couple of weeks. Here are a few of my favorites; you can see more on my music site and Flickr.

Thank you so much!

I drove 550 miles to see them in Atlanta from Central IN.
Had a great time. I even had a chance to talk with Spider briefly after. Shane went straight to the bus.
Another photographer "Photo Gnome"(?) was there and he had some great shots as well.

Health problems keep me from following bands lately but I wasn't going to miss a Pogues tour completely!

Wow that is a drive! They're worth it though, right? :-D I thought they were especially good this year.

I've been living in the Central Rockies and haven't seen them since'86' in Detroit.
Yeah, it was worth the drive!;~D

You really do great work. Actually brought a tear to my eye viewing your shots in Atlanta. It's so lovely to have a record of the experience.

You have a new fan, anyway.
I moved to Central IN to help out my aging parents. Not a job that pays well but I get real work on occasion. My help keeps the P & M in their homes where they want to stay.

Are you supported by a record company or do you freelance?
I'd like to find some way of showing my appreciation.

I saw the show in Boston last Saturday night. He's a great performer! Does anyone know where I can find the 2009
tour t-shirts? I lost mine after the concert

Thanks
A

There are a couple of companies that handle their merch although I don't see anything from this last tour yet:

(The other one, Trinity Street Direct, doesn't seem to be working right now.)

You might also check their MySpace and/or drop a quick note or comment there.

Wow thank you so much, I am really glad you like them. You can Paypal me a huge sum of money, that would be great. :-D

(Kidding) but that is so nice of you to even think of it. I am freelance, don't work for a label. I do sell a small number of fine art prints of shows I shoot; if you want to buy one drop me an email and tell me which you are interested in. I do still have more to post though so it's no rush.

Thanks again, knowing that people like the work makes it easier to keep doing. ;-)

I will be looking when you get them all up!

I like Boston it's a great music city. I used to go to a certain business in Cambridge and do landscaping each Fall. I'm an Arborist and have worked for some extremely influential people.

I was friends with Kurt Davis of the Konks for years, but I guess he has more friends than he needs these days.(He's from my home town)

I'll be keeping an eye on your sites!;~)
