Sorry for the lag since this happened but I only just found this comm--it didn't come up for some reason when I've done previous searches. Anyway, I went to the 3/19 show in Boston and took a bunch of pictures and wrote in my journal about it, if you are interested and haven't seen my endless posting of it yet. I think it's probably familiar to some by now but yanno gottta share the love. ;-)
Thanks for the pictures - great to see Mr C onstage again! :D
You're welcome. And it was great to see him, definitely. I hope he continues to be well and does the next tour, and all the rest forever. :-)
Thanks for this. The papers should pay you write their Pogues review. I appreciate your P.O.V. far more than the others I've read.
The pictures were wonderful. Befitting of the smoky drunken feeling often cultivated at a live show;-)
Been far too long since I've seen the Pogues. I must make ammends in future!
Thank you, I was so glad I had something to write about! You ought to definitely see them if you can. They are playing so wonderfully. I really hope they do the west coast again this fall and east coast in the spring as they've been doing for a few years now. It sounds like they are having a lot of fun doing it this way and it would be such a sad thing to have them stop for lack of it being fun anymore, as what happened years ago.
P.S. That icon scares me. XD
Looks like Shane is skinnying out a bit. I wonder if this is a good or bad thing. Still, it's nice seeing a thin Shane again.
Yah he did look like he's slimmed down a bit. Now if only he'd get a haircut ... he looks better with shorter hair on the top. Not that he asked for my opinion. ;-)
I just now saw this post, but wanted to say that I loved your review and your photos! I was supposed to see them on this last tour too, but it didn't work out. I thoroughly enoyed your review, though, and it's great to hear that Shane is still in good shape :)
Thank you so much! That's too bad you couldn't go, but if things go well they'll be back next year. Or maybe in the fall too. I'm hoping. :-)
